With severe weather forecast over the next few days, due to Storm Eunice hitting today, Scottish power have been in touch to pass on advice about what to do in the event of a weather-related power outage.
Given the size of Scottish Power’s electricity network, power outages can happen at any time, however larger scale power outages are more likely to happen during storms, with high winds, heavy rain, snow and flooding adversely affecting Scottish Power’s network.
In the event of a weather-related power outage in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse, or anywhere in Scotland for that matter, Scottish Power can provide you with information and keep you up to date over the course of the event.
Should you wish to report a power outage or emergency you should call 105 to report or get information about power cuts in their local area. 105 is a free service, available to people in England, Scotland and Wales.
Alternatively you can contact the SP Energy Networks Emergency Customer Contact Number – 0800 092 9290 from a landline or mobile.
Scottish Power would highlight that this information is in the event they should face a weather related power outage. One way you can do this is by following SP Energy Networks social media accounts to share content and links its website.
