South Lanarkshire Council's Prioiritised Investment Group have approved funding to replace the broken boiler in Larkhall Leisure Centre which opens the way for the centre to get back up and running.
In mid-August an inspection found that the boiler was not able to function safely and as such it had to be shut down.
South Lanarkshire Housing and Technical Resources are now working on providing this replacement and depending on timescales, whether a temporary boiler plant may be suitable to ensure a swift recovery for the centre.
