S4 school pupils meet with Christina McKelvie MSP

Pupils from St. John Ogilvie High School in Hamilton made their mark this week as they visited the Scottish Parliament.

The pupils, who were met by the educational team from the Parliament, were given an overview of the parliament whilst they also attended a Scottish Parliament debate.

The pupils were met by Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse MSP, Christina McKelvie, who hosted a question and answer session with the students.

Commenting on the visit, Christina said:

“It was a pleasure to welcome the pupils and staff of St. John Ogilvie to the Parliament.

“Their questions, as expected, were tough, thoughtful and insightful – I would expect nothing less from them!”

“Their visit comes just weeks after I addressed their senior school awards ceremony. It’s inspiring to see such great ambassadors for St. John Ogilvie attend our national parliament and the pupils were a credit to their teachers and to their school.
