Macmillan Coffee

Local Hamilton business, Coopers Coffees, hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising vital funds for cancer research.

Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse MSP, Christina McKelvie, stopped by the business to show her support and donate to the charity.

Commenting on the event, Christina said:

“I was delighted to come by Coopers and contribute to their wonderful day.

“Kirsty and all the staff can be rightly proud of all the efforts they have gone to in baking the cakes, making the coffee and decorating the shop, all in aid of cancer research.

“Every year in the Scottish Parliament, I host ‘Wear it Pink’, a Breast Cancer Now initiative to raise awareness of Breast Cancer. I’m all too well aware, therefore, of the difference that cancer charities like Macmillan can make to those going through cancer treatment.

“Coopers Coffee is a great example of a local Hamilton business giving back to the community and raising money for an absolute worthwhile cause.

“I’ll be sure to be back and I would encourage everyone to pay them a visit when passing through our town centre.
