Larkhall based school hold Q&A with local MSP Christina McKelvie
Machanhill Primary school were given the V.I.P treatment as they visited the Scottish Parliament for a personalised tour of Scotland’s parliament.
The Larkhall based school were given a tour of the Parliament, learning about the history of the building and the process of devolution.
Organised through the Scottish Parliament Education and Outreach team, the Primary 7 class were then met by local MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse, Christina McKelvie.
Christina, who hosted the pupils for a Q&A session during their visit, praised the youngsters, adding:
“It was a joy to meet with the pupils and staff of Machanhill Primary during their visit to the Scottish Parliament.
“Their questions were absolutely first-class and it was clear to see the interest they have in their national parliament and in my role as their MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse.
“From Brexit to Breakfast Clubs, potholes to primary schools, there was certainly no let-up in their questions to me!
“I wish them all the best for the rest of their time at Machanhill and all the best for their journey towards secondary school in the new term”
