Local MSP thanks ‘tireless’ emergency services as they battle red weather warning

Following the onset of major inclement weather and announcement of a red weather warning, local MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse, Christina McKelvie MSP thanked emergency services for their efforts.

Commenting, SNP MSP Christina McKelvie said:

“I want to assure my constituents that the Scottish Government, Police Scotland and all our emergency services are working around the clock to ensure everyone is safe and secure as we battle the inclement weather.

“The advice could not be more simple – do not travel unless absolutely necessary. If you must travel, please do expect significant disruptions to your journey or delay.

“Our emergency services have been working tirelessly to ensure everyone remains as safe as possible and they deserve our utmost admiration.

“An Amber weather warning remains in place and has been extended until 02 March at 10am. Please remain cautious and careful as we see out the last of this onslaught of wintry weather.
