The ‘Our Town, Your Voice’ consultation, launched jointly from Christina McKelvie MSP and Angela Crawley MP, is aimed at encouraging business and growth back into Hamilton town centre.

The consultation received over 1,800 responses, with key recommendations around parking charges, business rates and accessibility all stated within the report.

As part of Small Business Saturday, Christina McKelvie MSP is set to appear on BBC Radio Scotland’s Stephen Jardine programme this Friday, 02nd December, to discuss the consultation.

Commenting, Christina said:

“Hamilton is set to become the focus of national attention as we broadcast live from the Regent Centre.

“The programme will be focused on Small Business Saturday -  an excellent, dynamic initiative to encourage more people to spend locally and revitalise their local economy.

“I’m really looking forward to taking part in the programme. I will be discussing a range of issues around Scotland’s town centres with the Hamilton town centre regeneration project, ‘Our Town, Your Voice’, being front and centre.

Christina will be broadcast live from 10.25am on Friday 02nd December.
