Christina is urging constituents to make sure that they lock up their homes, garages and cars securely in light of a spate of sneak-in thefts.
"People have told me about a number of incidents, particularly around Larkhall and Stonehouse, where homes have been broken into and cars stolen. Police Scotland has confirmed that the number of these kinds of attacks has increased over the past weeks," she said.
"I have spoken to the police who have told me that they are deploying additional plain clothed and uniformed officers into the area in an effort to identify who is responsible.
"It only takes a few minutes - sometimes seconds - to get into your home, car or garage to steal your valuables. The results, though, can cause immeasurable distress," she added.
The police have urged anyone who may have information to contact them on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 or to call 101.
