Isobel and her husband Tony have lived in Stonehouse for almost 30 years. Isobel and Tony have a daughter Angela and a son Mark.
Isobel has always been interested in politics and has been a member of the SNP for over 40 years, and remembers with delight being in a car cavalcade with Winnie Ewing going around Clydesdale prior to her historic victory in 1967.
Isobel is always concerned about local issues, and is passionate about improving the facilities and amenities, and ultimately the lives of the local community. She decided to stand at the council elections after the council approved plans to build an incinerator at Dovesdale, despite the 24,000 letters of objection.
